Tanguar Haor Houseboat Tour: 4 Days of Floating Bliss

Arrive at Dhaka Airport where our team greets you. Transfer to your hotel for a full day of rest. Use this time to prepare for the rustic adventure ahead; we recommend packing light for the boat trip, bringing swimwear and waterproof bags.

We travel to the remote district of Sunamganj. Diamond guests fly to Sylhet and take a scenic drive through tea country; others travel by road. At the ghat (dock), we board our reserved houseboat. As the boat engines start, civilization fades away, replaced by endless water and distant hills of Meghalaya. Enjoy a fresh lunch cooked on board as we cruise. We spend the night anchored in the middle of the Haor, sleeping under a canopy of stars with only the sounds of nature around us.

Wake up to the gentle sound of water lapping against the boat. We cruise to Niladri Lake (Takerghat), known as the "Kashmir of Bangladesh" for its stunning limestone hills and deep blue water. Take a refreshing swim in the cool waters. Later, we visit Barikka Tila for a panoramic view and the Jadukata River, famous for its transparent water and sandy banks. Enjoy fresh fish caught directly from the Haor for lunch and dinner, served on the boat's deck.

Enjoy a majestic sunrise on the water, watching the fishermen start their day. The boat returns to the dock in Sunamganj by noon. We then begin our journey back to Dhaka. We drop you off at your hotel in Dhaka to rest. Airport drop-off is also available upon request for those with onward travel plans.
