Cumilla Day Tour: 3 Days of Archeology & Sweets

We greet you at the Airport and transfer you to your hotel. Relax and overcome your jet lag. In the evening, feel free to explore the hotel amenities or nearby cafes to get a first taste of the local urban vibe.

After breakfast, we drive to Cumilla (approx. 2.5 hours), watching the industrial belts give way to green paddy fields.

• Archaeology: Visit Shalban Vihara, a massive 8th-century Buddhist monastery set in the Lalmai-Mainamati hills. We also explore the Mainamati Museum, housing ancient bronze statues, coins, and terracotta plaques excavated from the site.
• History: Pay respects at the WWII War Cemetery, a beautifully maintained Commonwealth site where soldiers from various nations rest in peace under blooming trees.
• Gastronomy: No trip to Cumilla is complete without visiting Matri Bhandar. Here, you will taste and buy the authentic Rasmalai (soft cheese balls soaked in thickened, sweetened milk)—a culinary icon of the region.
• Return: We drive back to Dhaka in the evening, sharing stories of the day.

After breakfast and a relaxed morning in Dhaka, we transfer you to your hotel in Dhaka. Airport drop-off is also available upon request for your flight home, leaving with a sweet taste of Bangladesh and memories of its ancient past.
