Birishiri Durgapur Tour: 3 Days of Ceramic Hills & Blue Water

We welcome you at the Airport and transfer you to your hotel in Dhaka. Rest and recover from your flight. If you are interested, we can arrange a short visit to a local craft market in the evening to introduce you to Bangladeshi handicrafts.

We drive north to Birishiri (approx. 4-5 hours), watching the landscape shift from urban to rural greenery. Upon arrival, check into your guest house. We immediately head to the China Clay Hills (China Matir Pahar). To get there, we cross the Someshwari River by small boat. In winter, the water turns a brilliant turquoise blue, creating a surreal contrast with the white clay. Climb the small hills for a unique view and incredible photo opportunities.

We start the day by visiting the Tribal Cultural Academy to learn about the history, language, and lifestyle of the Garo people. We also visit the historic Saint Joseph’s Church and walk through nearby indigenous villages to observe their traditional way of life. After a local lunch, we drive back to Dhaka. We drop you off at your hotel in Dhaka. Airport drop-off is also available upon request if needed.
